The Skinny on Egg Whites

Calorie counting: how many calories are in one large egg (white only)? Does the amount of calories change when cooking a protein?

Do calories make themselves wings and fly away (to paraphrase a well-known source) when they are cooked? They do not.

But a large egg white has only 16 calories, so as long as you don't fry it in a tablespoon of butter or margarine, you won't have to count very high.
