(Not) Freezing Sour Cream

 Can you freeze sour cream?

You can freeze almost anything; you just may not like it when it thaws. Sour cream is a case in point.

Sour cream breaks down and separates when frozen and thawed. You can stir it back together, but it won't have the texture you expect if you put a dollop on your baked potato or tortilla, or use it in a dressing or dip.
