Q. My recipe calls for skim milk. I use 1% milk. Can I alter the 1% to make skim milk?

A. Skim milk contains less than 1/2% of milk fat, so actually has less fat than the milk you use regularly. What are you going to do to get that extra portion of fat out of your milk?

Actually, you don't need to do a thing. The difference in the fat content of the two milks is negligible and is not going to affect the outcome of your recipe at all.
