Q. I just had tortellini pomodoro... what did I eat?! I know what tortellini is, but pomodoro?A. Well, it was probably red but not particularly exotic, because pomodoro is simply the Italian word for tomato. It literally means "golden apple," as apparently the first tomatoes to arrive in Italy from the New World were yellow.
