Comments: The tongs have a basting brush built in, that saves you from having to switch from tongs to brush, tongs to brush, ad. inf. The sauce pot holds 2 cups of sauce and is designed to sit flat. It holds the locking tongs when not in use, which saves you from putting them here and there and making one or more messes.

There are some tongs that grip better. These have scalloped edges but they are not bent in to clamp onto whatever is being turned, so may require more squeezing. We also often find silicone brushes a little wishy-washy in general – we would like them to hold more sauce and spread it more forcefully. Still, the tongs and their brush keep your hands safely away from any basting flare-ups and everything goes easily into the dishwasher. The silicone brush comes out spotless, unlike many bristle or other synthetic brushes that hold onto sauce no matter how often washed (and then never get dry). The set comes with a spare silicone brush insert.

A Sauce Pot Caddy is also available separately for kettle grills. It holds the sauce pot and tongs securely and has a drink holder that "allows for two-handed grilling when needed."
