Comments: We admit – we were skeptical. Perhaps this all-in-one measuring cup could handle dry ingredients, but how is an adjustable measure going to handle liquids? we mused. Turns out it does very well. A silicone gasket contains whatever you're measuring, solid or liquid, and as far as we could tell, the accuracy is right on target.

Twist the base and the platform in the bottom of the cup moves up or down, to adjust from 1 cup, 3/4 cup, 1/2 cup, 1/3 cup, and 1/4 cup, down to 1/8 cup. For 2/3 cup, you'll have to measure 1/3 twice. Each measurement locks into place. Twist the base to the release setting and the cup disassembles for cleaning (top rack of the dishwasher is fine), although it requires a certain amount of dexterity for assembly and disassembly.

The numbers along the side, in their cheerful butterfly yellow, are a little hard to read. Our biggest question is, how well will this hold up? Expose it to the higher heat of the bottom of the dishwasher, and if it gets misshapen even a little, it will be useless. The cup is made mostly of TPE, which combines the strengths of plastic and rubber, so we'll give this the benefit of the doubt. It's been working fine in our tests.

For those troubled by a flock of mixing cups clanking and always having trouble finding the right size, this adjustable measure will be a useful solution.
