Ingredients: For the Ribs: 4 slabs of baby back ribs
For the Barbecue Sauce: 3 cups ketchup
Instructions: In a small bowl, combine paprika, light brown sugar, salt, chili powder, ground cumin, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well. Season ribs on both sides with spice mixture. Cover ribs and bake at 300°F (150°C) for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Immediately after placing ribs in oven, begin preparing the barbecue sauce. In a medium pot on low heat, combine remaining ingredients to create the sauce. Allow sauce to simmer for 1 hour. Uncover ribs after cooking for the allotted time and baste both sides with barbecue sauce. Cook ribs an additional 45 minutes. Yield: Makes 4 servings. |
