Comments: We have never seen the point of having pans that were all made of the same material. A stock pot does not need to function as a sauté pan, and a griddle should perform differently than a sauce pan. What is the point of throwing obscene amounts of money into a 37-ply stainless steel/aluminum/copper/tin/zinc/ad.inf. stock pot?
That's one reason we like this set from Regal Ware, bearing the name of celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson – it is a huge set with pans that are intended for different purposes.
This set includes:
Happily, these pans are not so heavy that you can't lift them, but they feel solid. Additionally, the extra-long, stay-cool handles work, and feel great in the hand. The nonstick-coated pans are oven-safe to 400°F (205°C), while the other pans can go in the oven up to 500°F (260°C).
Are these the best pans on the market? We would not say so, but for the money this is certainly the best high-quality, large set of pans that we have seen.
