Traditional Guacamole is very simple, and uses just a couple of ingredients! But we like to add other ingredients to enhance the flavor.
Cut the avocadoes in half, peel them, and cut away any gray parts. Throw away the skin and the pit. Put the avocado pieces in a bowl and mash them with a fork. Guacamole should be smooth, with some chunky bits of avocado.
Season with salt & pepper to taste or you can add one or more of the Optionals Ingredients to your guacamole. Make sure you mix it really well! You can try a different combination every time you make it, or stick with your favorite flavors! Just remember that the taste of avocado is very mild – you don’t want to overpower it with too many extras.
